A free Remove.bg alternative for browser-based photo tasks

Processing speed depends on the device and model. Fine hair, transparent objects, logos and text-heavy images can produce poor results. There is no claim here that BgClear matches or exceeds Remove.bg's output.

Use Remove.bg and its pricing page for current provider information. Do not assume that a requirement for an API account also applies to a one-photo web preview.
Compare the same originals, not marketing examples
- Choose photos you own: a clear portrait, fine hair, an opaque product and one image that has previously failed.
- Process the same original in both tools and download the outputs. Record the date, browser, device and model/mode where available.
- Compare at the same displayed size on both white and dark backgrounds. Check halos, missing subject areas and transparency.
- Record first-use loading separately from repeat processing. Also record export dimensions, account prompts and any payment requirement you actually encounter.
- Choose the result that meets your intended use. A good portrait result does not establish good logo or glass performance.

Use the cutout in your next step
For transparent output, explicitly select Transparent and PNG. The main tool initially selects a white background. For a product photo on white, retain White and inspect the edges before downloading.
If the result removes part of your subject, use a better-contrasted original or a manual editor rather than repeatedly accepting the damaged result.
